-N <br />RECEIVED <br />BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING TOWN CLERK <br />MINUTES READING, MASS. <br />May 24, 2012 <br />.1111 SEP 24 P f= <br />The meeting of the Reading Board of Health came to order at 5:30 pm in the Conference <br />Room of Reading Town Hall. Present were Board members Barbara Meade, David <br />Singer, Andrew Friedmann, staff Ruth Clay and David Greenbaum, public Matthew <br />Caraco, and Macaroni Grill store manager John O'Brien. <br />Minutes <br />Minutes were tabled as there was a section that was not completed. <br />Well Application — 3 Dividence Road <br />Matthew Caraco, the owner of 3 Dividence Road, was present. The Board had no <br />questions of the applicant. Motion made by Meade, seconded by Friedmann to approve <br />the application. Vote passed 3:0:0. <br />Macaroni Grill Inspection Review <br />Andrew Friedmann recused himself from this agenda item. Clay gave a summary of <br />inspections and meetings with the management of Macaroni Grill, including a meeting <br />with the store and district manager January 4, 2012. The Board reviewed copies of the <br />last three routine and follow up inspections. O'Brien gave a summary of efforts to <br />correct violations and maintain the operations. Greenbaum gave a summary of his <br />actions. The Board discussed the situation and voted 3:0:0 to order Macaroni Grill to hire <br />an independent consultant within ten days to assist them in improving their operations. A <br />copy of the Scope of Work and Timeline is to be sent to the Health Director along with <br />copies of progress reports. <br />Public Hearing — Well Regulations <br />Motion was made by Singer, seconded by Friedmann to open the Public Hearing. <br />Unanimously approved. There were no comments from the public. Motion was made by <br />Singer, seconded by Friedmann to close the Public Hearing. Unanimously approved. <br />Andrew Friedmann asked if the 2 1 E sites were mapped so that proposed well locations <br />could be checked against these sites. Clay said she would look into that for the next <br />meeting. Clay pointed out additions from the MassDEP Model Regulations requested by <br />the Town Engineer. Motion by Friedmann, seconded by Singer to approve the revised <br />Well Regulations. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Public Hearings Sections 16 and Section 25 <br />Tabled to next meeting as letters had not been sent to existing establishments which sell <br />tobacco products. <br />
