Chair; Cherrie Dubois; Vicki Yablonsky ; OW,t� jl <br />Library, Director; Paula Perry, Finance Committee Liaison. ,1011 SAN 1 U <br />Absent: <br />Jeffrey Doucette; Karyn Storti. <br />Meeting called to order: 7:05 p.m. <br />FY13 Action Plan Update <br />Rough draft handed out and preliminary discussion of updates for the FY2012 AND FY2013 Plan of <br />Service. Library staff meetings to plan activities are ongoing. <br />Creating New Ways to Connect & Explore - Goals: <br />• Be a gathering place for the community <br />• Connect across generations <br />• Create new messages to connect new audiences <br />Creating New Ways to Engage & Inspire — Goals: <br />• Customize and personalize service /convenience and value <br />• Inspire future generations and remember the past <br />• Inspire all ages with programs <br />Creating New Ways to Grow and Learn — Goals: <br />• Create young readers: early literacy <br />• Grown young readers and support independent readers <br />• Be a lifelong learning center. <br />R. Urell will present the final Action Plan Update to Trustees for approval at the next meeting held on <br />Monday, December 19, 2011. <br />Budget FY13 <br />Salaries - implement step increase — no COLA. <br />Expenses — -equipment and tech costs soaring -need to upgrade both public and staff technology <br />-substantial increase in Noble software that is beyond 2% increase will come from Accommodated <br />Costs per Finance Director and Town Manager. <br />Materials — book budget will be 15 %, in compliance with state aid requirement. <br />R. Urell will work on draft budget details to provide a clearer sense of the expenses and submit it next <br />week to Finance Director. <br />Adjourn <br />The motion to adjourn was made 8:25 p.m. (D.
