Meeting Minutes April 11, 2012 Reading Cities of Climate Protection Advisory Committee 7:00 - 7:08 Welcome to everyone. Members and Guests in Attendance. Voting Members: Ron, Ray, and Dave. Associate Members: Laurie Ann, Michelle and Gina Meeting minutes for March 28, 2012 reviewed and approved. 7:08 — 7:50 Earth Day Events (4/21 10:00 to 2:00): Ron, Laurie Ann and Michele went to the Matterra Cabin to layout spaces in 3 rooms. We may need some additional tables (card table size) in addition to the tables in the cabin and those that Laurie Ann brings. Back room: Town Forest, Conservation and Garden Club. Front room: DPW, RMLD and Girl Scouts. Other back room will be used for storage. Walkable Reading might use an end table in the front room. We can use the porch if the weather is nice. The Climate Committee will have information on Taking Root for the Future, Green Business Award and Reading Business Recycle. Parking will be tight. Presenters will need to ride share. Presenters will be directed to the lower parking area, leaving the upper loop for guests. Food for the presenters will be put in the back room. Publicity includes the local papers (Chronicle, Advocate, Patch), Hot Spot, Christopher's, Caleruso's, Reading Library, Reading Police Station, Reading Town Hall, and RMLD. Redding Butcher Shoppe 7:50 - 8:00 Taking Root for the Future: Format of slide for the RCTV Community List. The slide will present information in bullet format. 8:00 — 8:11 Green Business Award: Swiss Baker submitted application. Need to setup audits to confirm the energy savings. Michele will prepare a certificate /template. 8:11 — 8:15 Business Paper Recycling; Michele to prepare a "slide" on the Business Paper Recycling program for display at Earth Day. 8:15 — 8:30 Local Energy Action Plan (LEAP): Michele to attend the first meeting, next Thursday, April 12, 6:00 to 8:OOpm. Each group in the community will share the actions they have taken so far. 8:30 Adjourned
