RECEIVE <br />Town of Reading TOWN C L R <br />Board of Cemetery Trustees READING, MASS. <br />Tuesday, September 6, 2011 <br />2019 OCT -b A 9, 4 <br />Pursuant to a meeting legally posted, the meeting of September 6, 2011 convened at 6:00 P.M. <br />in the Berger Room, 16 Lowell Street, Reading Town Hall. <br />Present: Janet Baronian, Chairman <br />Ron Stortz, Vice Chairman <br />William Brown; Secretary <br />Mary Vincent <br />Elise Ciregna <br />Olive Hecht <br />Also Present: Robert Keating, Superintendent <br />Review of Past Meeting Minutes <br />The Minutes of June 28, 2011 were reviewed and approved by a vote of 6 -0 on a motion by <br />Elise Ciregna and seconded by Mary Vincent. <br />Receipts <br />Receipts are on track for $140,000. <br />General Business <br />A lot of tree damage in Laurel Hill from Tropical Storm Irene, a small amount in Forest Glen. <br />It took 4 days to cleanup. <br />The cannon for Forest Glen Veterans' Section was discussed and the Board felt it was not <br />appropriate at this time. <br />Bob spoke on the building maintenance and the Board felt that we should not pursue the issue <br />until after the new building. <br />Bob gave the Board an update on the funding for a new building; plans are proposed to be <br />funded in FY13 and the building in FY14. The Board expressed concerns that something else <br />maybe given a higher priority. <br />Bob noted that vandals tore off the steel doors at the Laurel Hill tomb; he also spoke of the cost <br />to use it as a depository for urns and that most urns are placed on existing graves. <br />Adiourn <br />The meeting adjourned at 6:50 PM.
