RECEIVED Reading Cultural Council TOWN C L E R K January 11, 2010 READING, Mass. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER — 7:35 pm 2011 SEP 19 A. 8* 31 ' MEMBERS PRESENT — Vicky Schubert, Lorraine Horn, Sudie Fay, Peggy Caouette, Lynne Cassinari CHAIR'S REPORT: There was a reminder and discussion of the state conference "Telling Our Story" taking place on February 10, from 10 AM to 3 PM and a reminder of the mandatory ethics training which needs to be completed by all RCC members by April 2, 2010. TREASURER: LH reiterated the $5030 budget amount. VS suggested making a performance date list. MINUTES: The minutes of the October 26, 2009 meeting were amended. The word "pitch" was replaced with the word interview, that the figure of $4700 be corrected to read $4770 and the words "remainder of $260 administrative overage was combined with the $4770. The amended minutes were approved. The minutes of the November 10 and 23 meetings were approved. GRANT NOTIFICATIONS: A summary of the grant applications and their rejection or awards was reviewed. VS explained that rejections were sent on December 5 with no appeals following. The grant approvals were sent on December 30, with special notes to Marble Collection and Old South Brass and Organ. UPCOMING MEETING SCHEDULE AND PLANS FOR 2010 ACTIVTIES: VS suggested that we could utilize RCTV to inform public about grant opportunities and educate the public about what the RCC does. Perhaps 2 of us could be interviewed on cable or we could interview recipients. Would Matt like to host it? In regard to future interest in RCC membership, VS will check with Deborah Newmark to see if she is still interested and she will also check on attendance rules. The next meeting will be Monday, February 8, 2010. Upcoming meetings are scheduled for March 8 and April 12. Meeting adjourned at 8:10. Respectfully submitted, Lynne Cassinari
