riW � CIS RIB <br />Town of Reading RECEIVED <br />ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS 0 W "L E R K <br />Minutes of July 21, 2011 <br />READING, MASS- <br />2011 SEP 1 q P 12• 0 f <br />Members Present: Jeffrey Perkins, Chairman <br />Robert Redfern <br />John Miles <br />Damase Caouette <br />Kristin Cataldo <br />Members Absent: John Jarema <br />A meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals was held in the Selectmen's Meeting Room of the <br />Town Hall, 16 Lowell Street, Reading, Massachusetts, beginning at 7:OO P.M. <br />Case # 11 -13 <br />A Public Hearing on the petition of Cheryl Impagliazzo who seeks a Variance under Section 4.8 <br />/ 4.8.6.1.10 of the zoning bylaws in order to install a 21' above - ground pool in an Aquifer <br />Protection District with a lot coverage of 21.8% rather than the 20% required on the property <br />located at 48 Mark Avenue in Reading, MA. <br />Jack Sullivan of Sullivan Engineering Group represented Cheryl Impagliazzo and presented her <br />proposal to the Board. He presented what he thought were the four criteria required in order to be <br />granted a Variance. Ms. Impagliazzo has a recharge system installed on the addition that she <br />added. <br />The Board members offered their individual comments and questions. There was some <br />comments by all five Board members to the first three criteria presented for the Variance. The <br />suggestion was made that perhaps a smaller pool would be more appropriate but Ms. <br />Impagliazzo wanted the larger 21' size. <br />Marie Westwater of 47 Mark Avenue voiced her approval of the proposal. <br />A letter of approval was read that was submitted by Cristina Baylis of 44 Mark Avenue. <br />A letter from the Town Engineer stating the discharge system would handle any additional <br />impervious area was read. <br />On a motion by Damase Caouette, seconded by Robert Redfern, the Zoning Board of Appeals <br />moved to grant the Applicant a variance from Section 4.8.6.1.10 of the zoning bylaws in order to <br />install an above - ground swimming pool on the property as shown on the referenced Drainage <br />Recharge and Plot Plans. <br />ZBA Meeting, July 21, 2011 <br />
